Drop shipping is a form of e-commerce shipping approach that has been soaring in popularity for quite some time now. It is a type of retail business where a seller can take the client's orders and make the sales even though it carries no inventory. It is a low-risk business and eliminates the need for warehousing, staffing, and inventory management costs.

When a seller takes the customer's orders, they transfer the details and shipment instructions directly to the supplier. The supplier processes the orders simultaneously then ships the product to the customer.

Drop-deck trailers are used for heavy and extra-tall cargo since they can have extra axles. They have a flip axle on their decks, mostly laid back when not in use, and can be flipped down when shipping heavy cargo. While every state in the US has specific regulations regarding freight size, the maximum cargo height is 13'6 to 14'.

Drop shipping significantly reduces original costs that come with such functions as warehousing or setting up a brick-and-mortar store. As a matter of fact, most e-commerce retailers operate these businesses in the comfort of their homes with just a computer and Wi-Fi.
