MAJOR SEMI TRUCK TRANSPORT ROUTES IN HAWAII
Heavy Equipment Transport specialists in Hawaii will often need to use the state's highway system. Major routes our drivers are comfortable towing semi trucks along include:
H-1 is the longest, busiest highway in Hawaii. It begins near the Campbell Industrial Park in Kapolei before traveling east towards Makakilo. The freeway passes the northern edge of Waipahu for approximately 3 miles before it connects to the H-2 and moves east towards Pearl City and the inevitably complicated Halawa Interchange junctions. Traveling onward to Pearl Harbor, the road runs along a viaduct, passes Honolulu International Airport, and connects into downtown Honolulu before ending in the Kahala district near the Kahala Mall.
The H-2, a lso known as the Veterans Memorial Freeway, is a north-south route across O'ahu. At its southern end, it terminates at a junction on the H-1 in Pearl City. Its northern journey ends at the Wahiawa Bypass in Wahiawa near the Schofield Barracks. Its north-south route has four lanes in each direction as it passes the Waipio neighborhood and travels on into the city of Mililani. At this point, the road narrows to three lanes as it reaches its end.
